Start your day early with a picnic breakfast on the train (own account) as the countryside rolls past your window. Upon arrival in Surat Thani, you'll take vehicle directly to the pier of Cheow Lan Lake, one of Thailand's most breath-taking natural wonders.
Nestled within the heart of Khao Sok National Park, the lake is a vast expanse of emerald water stretching more than 60kms from north to south. Towering limestone cliffs, draped in dense rainforest, rise dramatically from the lake's edge and fade into a hazy, distant horizon. From the longtail boat, you'll witness spectacular scenes at every turn—jagged karsts reflected in the still water, wildlife peeking from the trees, and an almost eerie silence broken only by birdsong and the boat's gentle hum.
Weather permitting, you'll have time to swim in the cool, refreshing waters and explore some of the lake's hidden caves. Be sure to bring a swimsuit and a towel. A delicious lunch is served on the spot, surrounded by the jungle-covered cliffs.
In the late afternoon, you'll transfer to your hotel in Khao Sok. The evening is yours to relax and enjoy a well-deserved dinner, followed by a peaceful overnight stay. This is a truly memorable day, immersing you in the raw, untouched beauty of southern Thailand's rainforest paradise.
