This extraordinary journey takes you through the very essence of Myanmar—from the royal grandeur of Mandalay to the thousands of ancient temples rising from the Bagan plain, from the cool hill station of Kalaw to the stilted villages and leg-rowing fishermen of Inle Lake, and finally to the untouched sands of Ngwe Saung Beach before concluding in the bustling former capital of Yangon. Along the way, you will witness saffron-robed monks collecting alms at dawn, explore local markets where hill tribe people barter their goods, cruise the mighty Irrawaddy River, and stand in awe before the golden magnificence of Shwedagon Pagoda. This is a journey through the heart and soul of the Golden Land.

Welcome to Mandalay, Mandalay is a city and former royal capital in northern Myanmar (formerly Burma) on the Irrawaddy River.

Meet your local guide and transfers to hotel for check in.

Overnight in Mandalay.

After breakfast at the hotel, start Mandalay sightseeing which includes most of the city’s outstanding historical and cultural sites such as:

  • MAHAMUNI PAGODA, famous for its life like Buddha image
  • MARBLE SCULPTURE
  • GOLD LEAF MAKING CENTRE
  • KU-THO-DAW PAGODA, known as the world’s biggest book.
  • SHWE-NANDAW MONASTERY (GOLDEN MONASTERY), famous for its wood carving
  • KYAUK-TAW-GYI PAGODA, a huge image of Buddha carved out of a single marble boulder.
  • In the evening, enjoy breath-taking and panoramic view of almost the whole city from Mandalay Hill

Overnight in Mandalay.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Bagan. On the way to Bagan, there will be the most fascinating visit for you which is the time watching the monks during worship time and enjoying their lunch at MAHA-GANDAR-YONE MONASTERY. Then enjoy U BEIN BRIDGE – built of teak logs and planks over 200 years ago by the Mayor U Bein.

Then drive to Bagan (3.5hour). On arrival to Bagan, transfer to your hotel.

The balance of the day will be leisure.

Overnight in Bagan.

After breakfast at the hotel, start Bagan sightseeing. This sightseeing offers a close observation to the daily life of Myanmar people at a market and the rich architecture at the most famous pagodas in Bagan. At first, Bagan sightseeing starts with busy NYAUNG-U MARKET which is a local market in the village of NyaungOo to the northeast of Bagan. The NyaungOo Market provides great photo opportunity, and the chance for tourists to mingle with the local Myanmar people and watch how they conduct their daily lives. Then enjoy the rest of your time dedicated to discovering Bagan temples.

The main highlights are:

  • SHWE-ZIGON PAGODA, the prototype of later Myanmar stapes
  • KYAN-SIT-THA U-MIN, a tunnel with attractive mural paintings
  • ANANDA TEMPLE, the architectural masterpiece of a millennium
  • THAT-BYIN-NYU TEMPLE, the tallest in Bagan
  • DHAMMA-YANGYI TEMPLE, famous for its fine brick works
  • LACQUARE WORKSHOP
  • In the evening, enjoy breath-taking view of Bagan from SHWE-SAN-DAW PAGODA.

Overnight in Bagan.

Since it is your second day in Bagan, sightseeing will be done by bike to get another taste.

After breakfast at hotel, start sightseeing.

  • HTILO-MINLO TEMPLE, a double-storied building with artistic stucco works.
  • GAWDAW-PALIN TEMPLE, famous for its colourful glazed plaques,
  • GU-BYAUK-KYI (MYIN-KA-BAR), famous for its mural paintings of Jataka scenes.
  • MANUHA TEMPLE, built by the captive Mon King Manuha.
  • NAN-PAYA, a temple believed to be the residence of Mon King Maunha.

After lunch (own accounts) visit AH SHAY PHWAR SAW village by pony cart. It is a perfect village to enjoy how Myanmar people struggle their lives. There one can enjoy the women using a traditional spinning loom to make shawls. Explore the village. This visit will provide an insight into real rural lives of Myanmar people. Then enjoy panoramic sunset view of Bagan at sunset Hill.

Overnight in Bagan.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the bus station to take bus to Kalaw (around 7 hour). On arrival, welcome by our guide in Kalaw at bus station and transfer to your hotel in Kalaw.

The balance of the day will be leisure.

Overnight in Kalaw.

Begin your adventure in Kalaw, a charming hill town known for its cool climate and lush landscapes. The trek takes you through scenic trails, starting with a walk along rolling hills, pine forests, and tea plantations. Along the way, you’ll pass by local villages where you can observe the daily life of the ethnic Danu, Palaung, or Pa-O communities.

Enjoy breath-taking panoramic views from hilltop vantage points and take in the fresh mountain air. Depending on the route, you may encounter traditional farms growing seasonal crops like ginger, garlic, and cauliflower. A stop at a village house allows you to learn about local customs and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea. The trek continues through undulating terrain, offering moments of tranquillity as you walk amidst nature. Your journey concludes back in Kalaw, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Myanmar’s beautiful countryside.

Then transfer to Inle by private car.

Overnight in Inle.

After breakfast, start Inle lake sightseeing by boat. This sightseeing offers an excellent opportunity to observe Myanmar rural life up-close.

The rest of afternoon will be filled with visits to:

  • PHAUNG-DAW-OO PAGODA, the most important symbol of religion of Shan State
  • NGA-PHE-CHAUNG MONASTERY, attractive wooden monastery
  • FLOATING VILLAGES (INNPAW KHONE, POUK PAR, YWA MA, KHAR TAW)
  • A visit to these sights provides deep insight into how the people on the lake make their livings. So you can enjoy Unique One Leg rowers, their traditional fishing style, Lotus and silk weaving, boat making and cheroot making.

Overnight in NyaungShwe or on the lake.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to take flight to Yangon. On arrival, welcome by our guide and drive to Ngwe Saung (6 hours). The balance of the day will be leisure in Ngwe Saung.

Overnight in Ngwe Saung.

Enjoy a full day of sun or swimming in the warm coastal waters. This is the moment when the dream of going on vacation to an exotic land becomes reality.

Overnight in Ngwe Saung.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Yangon (around 6 hour). On arrival, if time permit, we visit:

  • Explore BOGYOKE MARKET (SCOTT MARKET) which is the best place for shopping in our country.
  • Enjoy sunset at SHWEDAGON PAGODA, the soul of Yangon.

Overnight in Yangon.

After breakfast at the hotel, start sightseeing by walking around the city centre to enjoy the city being busy with the sellers on the street, the pedestrians, and Colonial Style buildings.

The whole day is the brief tour to famous Landmarks:

  • CHAUKHTATGYI PAGODA, the colossal reclining Buddha
  • BOTATHAUNG PAGODA overlooked the pleasant waterfront of the river.
  • KARAWEIK HALL & ROYAL LAKE for Photo stop
