Itinerary in details:

Welcome to Yangon, Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon) is the largest city in Myanmar (formerly Burma). A mix of British colonial architecture, modern high-rises and gilded Buddhist pagodas define its skyline.

Overnight at hotel in Yangon, former capital of Myanmar.

Your journey begins in Yangon, where the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda dominates the skyline. This 99-meter golden stupa, covered in tons of genuine gold leaf and crowned with a 76-carat diamond, is the most sacred Buddhist site in Myanmar. According to legend, it enshrines eight hairs of the Buddha himself.

As the sun sets, the golden spire transforms from bright yellow to deep orange, glowing like a second sun against the purple horizon. Pilgrims from across the country circle the stupa clockwise, offering flowers, lighting incense, and praying at the eight planetary posts. Your guide will explain the significance of each day of the week—Myanmar has eight, with Wednesday split into morning and afternoon—and help you find your own planetary post for a personal blessing.

Botataung Pagoda: The Hollow Wonder

Unlike most solid pagodas, Botataung Pagoda is hollow, allowing visitors to walk through its interior alongside sacred relics of the Buddha's hair. The golden labyrinth inside is lined with glass cases displaying ancient artifacts, and the atmosphere is deeply peaceful.

Chauk Htat Kyi: The Reclining Buddha

Visit Chauk Htat Kyi, home to a 70-meter-long reclining Buddha statue. Unlike other reclining Buddhas, this one's eyes are open, gazing serenely at visitors. The feet are delicately carved with 108 auspicious symbols—a masterpiece of Burmese Buddhist art.
