Itinerary in details:

Day 1: Arrival – Yangon – Former capital of Myanmar, Mingalarbar “Hello” Myanmar

Welcome to Yangon, Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon) is the largest city in Myanmar (formerly Burma). A mix of British colonial architecture, modern high-rises and gilded Buddhist pagodas define its skyline.

Day 2: Highlight of Yangon (Meal: Breakfast)

Walking around the former capital city of Myanmar – Yangon you have a chance to explore the narrow streets of Little India and Chinatown. Here you will see the busy life of locals and the colorful market with spice space in the Indian region, which was formed due to British colonization. Then we will pay a visit to Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, which is famous for its reclining Buddha image. Strolling in the park at Kandawgyi Lake to enjoy the tranquil beauty of diverse flowers and rare animals.

Continue the trip by walking from Botataung Pagoda through old streets lined with colonial buildings and then stop at the Scott Market before we will transfer to the magical Shwedagon Pagoda, the most spectacular religious architecture in the world. Walking in the evening, you will immerse in the shimmering landscape of the pagoda.

Day 3: Yangon – Bagan (Meal: Breakfast)

After early breakfast, we will leave bustle Yangon city with flight to Bagan (1 hour and 20 minutes). On arrival, welcome by our local guide and start sightseeing. This sightseeing offers a close observation to the daily life of Myanmar people at a market and the rich architecture at the most famous pagodas in Bagan. At first, Bagan Sightseeing starts with busy NYAUNG-U MARKET which is a local market in the village of Nyaung U to the northeast of Bagan. The Nyaung U Market provides great photo opportunity, and also the chance for tourists to mingle with the local Myanmar people, and watch how they conduct their daily lives. Then enjoy the rest of your time dedicated to discovering Bagan temples. The main highlights are

  • SHWE-ZIGON PAGODA, the prototype of later Myanmar stapes
  • KYAN-SIT-THA U-MIN, a tunnel with attractive mural paintings
  • ANANDA TEMPLE, the architectural masterpiece of a millennium
  • THAT-BYIN-NYU TEMPLE, the tallest in Bagan.
  • DHAMMA-YANGYI TEMPLE, famous for its fine brick works
  • LACQUARE WORKSHOP
  • Spend the evening at sunset hill for a superb sunset view.

Day 4: Bagan sightseeing by car (Meal: Breakfast)

Since it is your second day in Bagan, sightseeing will be done by bike to get another taste.

After breakfast at hotel, start sightseeing.

  • HTILO-MINLO TEMPLE, a double-storied building with artistic stucco works.
  • GAWDAW-PALIN TEMPLE, famous for its colourful glazed plaques,
  • GU-BYAUK-KYI (MYIN-KA-BAR), famous for its mural paintings of Jataka scenes.
  • MANUHA TEMPLE, built by the captive Mon King Manuha.
  • NAN-PAYA, a temple believed to be the residence of Mon King Maunha.

After lunch (own accounts) visit AH SHAY PHWAR SAW village by pony cart. It is a perfect village to enjoy how Myanmar people struggle their lives. There one can enjoy the women using a traditional spinning loom to make shawls. Explore the village. This visit will provide an insight into real rural lives of Myanmar people. Then enjoy panoramic sunset view of Bagan at sunset Hill.

Day 5: Bagan – Cruise to Mandalay (Meal: Breakfast)

Cruise on the river to Mandalay and enjoy the landscapes of the countryside. Going onboard is the best way to feel the slow pace of life of the locals and relax with the serene atmosphere on the river while arriving in Mandalay in the afternoon.

Day 6: Highlight of Mandalay (Meal: Breakfast)

After breakfast at the hotel, start Mandalay sightseeing which includes most of the city’s outstanding historical and cultural sites such as:

  • MAHAMUNI PAGODA, famous for its life like Buddha image
  • MARBLE SCULPTURE
  • GOLD LEAF MAKING CENTRE
  • KU-THO-DAW PAGODA, known as the world’s biggest book.
  • SHWE-NANDAW MONASTERY (GOLDEN MONASTERY), famous for its wood carving
  • KYAUK-TAW-GYI PAGODA, a huge image of Buddha carved out of a single marble boulder.
  • In the evening, enjoy breath-taking and panoramic view of almost the whole city from Mandalay Hill

Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 7: Mandalay – Amarapura – Sagaing – Mandalay (Meal: Breakfast)

The morning starts with the trip to Amarapura, which used to be the capital city of Myanmar and was built several times after the fire and earthquake. In addition, it is famous for Maha Gandhayon Kyaung monastery and U Bein Bridge. Strolling on the bridge with locals you will be surprised by its length, (known as the longest teak wood bridge in the world) as well as hundreds of young monks seeking alms.

Continue the trip to Sagaing, which is famous for its numerous Buddhist monasteries, temples, and impressive stupas. After that, you will have a chance to see the “ leaning tower of Ava” and visit the monastery Bagaya Kyaung, made of teakwood in Inwa- the former capital city of Myanmar for 360 years.

Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 8: : Mandalay – Heho – Pindaya – Inle Lake, The Floating World (Meal: Breakfast)

Taking a short flight to Heho in the early morning and we will start the trip to Pindaya Cave – a Buddhism pilgrimage famous site, containing thousands of Buhha images. After that, we will pay a visit to Inle Lake – a freshwater lake in the heart of the Shan Plateau, surrounded by small villages, island-bound Buddhist temples, and floating gardens.

The surface of the lake seems to perpetually resemble a vast silver sheet at the noon and become a wonderful picture in the sunset. Especially, the features of culture and long-lasting history and the kindness of locals set a good impression on visitors.

Overnight in NyaungShwe or on the lake.

Day 9: Inle Lake sightseeing (Meal: Breakfast)

After breakfast, start Inle lake sightseeing by boat. This sightseeing offers an excellent opportunity to observe Myanmar rural life up-close.

The rest of afternoon will be filled with visits to:

  • PHAUNG-DAW-OO PAGODA, the most important symbol of religion of Shan State
  • NGA-PHE-CHAUNG MONASTERY, attractive wooden monastery
  • FLOATING VILLAGES (INNPAW KHONE, POUK PAR, YWA MA, KHAR TAW)
  • A visit to these sights provides deep insight into how the people on the lake make their livings. So you can enjoy Unique One Leg rowers, their traditional fishing style, Lotus and silk weaving, boat making and cheroot making.

Overnight in NyaungShwe or on the lake.

Day 10: Inle Lake – Ngapali (Meal: Breakfast)

Transfer back to Heho airport for a flight to Ngapali. Enjoy leisure activities as well as fresh air on the beach of Ngapali – a famous white sand beach in the Bay of Bengal.

Day 11 + 12 + 13: Ngapali free day (Meal: Breakfast)

Enjoy your wonderful day by relaxing in the fresh air on the beach, or if you would like to discover the surrounding villages, you can hire a bicycle. Biking is the best way to enjoy the serene atmosphere and the slow pace of life in the country.

Overnight in Ngapali.

Day 14: Ngapali – Yangon – Departure (Meal: Breakfast)

Transfer to the Ngapali Airport for flight to Yangon for connecting flight to next destination. t’s time to say goodbye, we thank you for traveling with us and warmly welcome you to come again.
