Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes it one of the most fascinating cities in Southeast Asia. The city is an amalgamation of British, Burmese, Chinese, and Indian influences, and is known for its colonial architecture, which although decaying and beyond appreciation, remains an almost unique example of a 19th-century British colonial capital.

This afternoon, your sightseeing will begin to explore the vibrant downtown area with its famous sites including colonial-era buildings, beautiful religious monuments, and bustling street markets where you can absorb the daily life of the locals.
